DOD Acquisition Support Specialist(S)
Voigt Peters Dumouchelle is rapidly growing consulting firm that provides Program, Acquisition, and Facilities Management services to both the Federal Government and commercial clients. We are seeking DOD Acquisition Support Specialist(s) to work at DSCA Headquarters in Washington, DC.
Position Description:
The candidate is responsible for providing all facets of the acquisition life cycle (“cradle- to-grave”) which includes pre-award, post-award and policy functions. The candidate is responsible for contracting at various complexities for a variety of supplies and services.
The candidate should have a minimum of 3 to 5 years Acquisition experience a minimum of 3 to 5 years total work experience will be required to perform this requirement. Three (3) years of experience must be with the Department of Defense. The Specialist shall have a solid understanding of procuring services and supplies in the commercial marketplace. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required with at least 24 credit hours of business classes.
Qualifications:
Must have strong computer, analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively in writing. The positions call for flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, procuring services and supplies experience, and the ability to work well with all levels of Government personnel, management staff, Department of Defense (DoD) counterparts, and industryrepresentatives.
Technical Skills Required: Prior experience in FAR and DFARS policy and procedures, related legislation with the ability to assist in the development of procurement packages for variety of services and supplies. Personnel should be familiar with various types of services (i.e., information technology (IT); transportation; interpretation; lodging and program/project management). Personnel must be able to foster a positive relationship with various customers, DoD Agencies, State Department, respective Combatant Commanders, Joint Staff, Military Departments and in country Security AssistanceOfficers.

- Bachelors degree required, with at least 24 credit hours of business classes
- 3 to 5 years total work experience required and three (3) years of experience must be with the Department of Defense
- Must be familiar DoD enterprise systems such as the WAWF e-business suite, Federal Business Opportunities (FBO), and the System for Award Management (SAM); and the use of Government wide acquisition contracts (GWACs) such as GSA schedules
- Computer Skills Required: proficiency in MS Office Suite. Must possess at least intermediate skills in MS Excel (i.e., pivot tables, vlookup, etc.).
