Senior Consultant – Task Lead
- Voigt Peters Dumouchelle is rapidly growing consulting firm that provides Program, Acquisition, and Facilities Management services to both the Federal Government and commercial clients. We are seeking an experienced Senior Consultant – Task Lead for an executive level management support services effort for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in Washington, DC.
- Position Description:
- The Senior Consultant – Task Lead will be the primary point of contact with the DHS organization’s executive front office for the delivery and coordination of the project team’s support under the task. This individual will also be the on-site lead and manager for Voigt Peters’ project support staff.

- Responsibilities include:
- Serving as senior advisor to customer’s executive management team in a variety of capacities.
- Providing advice and expertise in strategic planning, process improvement, value chain analysis, change management and consolidation of operations.
- Leading team and provide hands-on support for front office high priority initiatives by providing drafting, review, and editing of executive level documentation; responding to short suspense dates and executive priorities in a professional, confident and flexible manner.
- Coordinating executive-level responses to assignments, data requests, and inquiries, and manage front office deliverables and actions.
- Managing executive dashboards to ensure organizational commitments and high priority initiatives are tracked and maintained.
- Preparing status reports, executive level briefings and write position papers, as required.
- Providing program, project, risk and communications management to support client projects and initiatives, and ensure timely and accurate enterprise-level reporting.
- Manage and supervise team of employees working on-site
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, management or related field is required; MBA is preferred.
- In addition to the degree, a minimum of twelve (12) years of relevant experience, with six (6) years specialized management experience supporting federal programs/organizations; preferably at the executive level.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, including business process reengineering, and the ability to research and synthesize information to identify and propose solutions to management challenges.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.
- Ability to adapt and think creatively within a large, federal government organization environment
- Ability to articulate ideas and recommendations based on assessment of data and knowledge of industry best practices.
- Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, with experience developing and presenting complex information using Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Ability to demonstrate and apply highly developed technical, analytical, interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills to respond to complex tasks in a fast-paced, diverse, and dynamic environment.
- Ability to support multiple complex work assignments which are broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks
- Ability to build productive and trusting relationships with internal and external clients and business partners
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong skills in PowerPoint and Excel
- Proficiency in Microsoft Visio and SharePoint
- PMP Certification preferred
- U.S. Citizenship is required
