Rob Anastasio brings 16 years of experience in strategic communications consulting and project management in advancing the missions of clients in the private industry and Federal government sectors, including the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Naval Research, Department of Defense Force Health Protection & Readiness, the U.S. Senate, and government think tanks. He has led all aspects of strategic communications planning and execution, both internally and externally, through strategic messaging, knowledge management, engagements, and storytelling, to help drive organizations and teams toward meaningful mission impact. He is adept at project management; organizational communication principles, tactics and techniques; targeted marketing; stakeholder engagement; business writing; and government relations.
Rob currently manages VPD’s corporate operations business unit. This entails critical components such as contracts, human resources, IT, and strategic communications practices and service offerings, including internal and external communications initiatives and campaigns. He also supports critical employee engagement, growth, and business development needs and activities across the organization. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Language from Roanoke College, and a Master of Arts in Organizational and Corporate Communications from Emerson College. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and a member of the International Association of Business Communicators and the National Eagle Scout Association. Rob resides in Leesburg, Va., with his wife and two children. In his spare time, you can find Rob touring the brewery scene of Loudoun County, participating in early morning workouts with his F3 men's fitness group, or attending his kids' sporting events and extracurriculars. He enjoys being outdoors running, hiking, boating, and exploring with his family and friends. |
